Welcome to Our FAQ`s!
-
Who should join your photography tours?Anyone with a passion for photography and travel! Our tours are designed for photographers of all skill levels, from beginners to professionals. If you’re looking for an immersive photography experience, these tours are perfect for you.
-
How large are the travel groups? Our group sizes typically range from 4 to 8 participants, depending on the destination. We intentionally keep our groups small to ensure a seamless photography experience without distractions. This allows our expert photographers to provide personalized attention, catering to each participant’s unique skill level. Small groups also guarantee plenty of time for everyone to capture the best shots, fostering a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.
-
What is the average age of participants? Our participants are typically between 40 and 75 years old. Although children rarely join, we have occasionally welcomed photography-enthusiast teenagers accompanied by their parents. Regardless of age, some tours require a moderate level of physical fitness as they often involve walking. We recommend contacting us before booking to discuss any concerns.
-
Are non-photographer partners welcome?Absolutely! Our tour descriptions will indicate whether a destination is suitable for non-photographing companions. Your partner can enjoy the trip while you focus on photography, making it a great shared experience.
-
Do you offer tours focused on landscape photography?Yes, many of our tours, such as those to Tuscany, Cornwall, Ireland, and Provence, are perfect for landscape photography enthusiasts. These destinations offer breathtaking scenery that will inspire your creativity and help you capture stunning shots.
-
Do I need travel insurance? We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance, particularly cancellation insurance. It offers peace of mind in case something unexpected happens before your trip.
-
What photography skills do I need to join a tour? Our Photography Tours are suitable for photographers of all levels. However, participants should have a basic understanding of aperture, shutter speed, and ISO settings. Due to the small group sizes, our professional photographer can offer personalized guidance, ensuring that each participant, regardless of their experience, receives the support they need to improve their skills.
-
Do I need a camera from a specific brand? No! Our tours are camera-brand neutral. Whether you use Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Sony, Pentax, Panasonic, or Olympus, or have a DSLR, mirrorless, or bridge camera, you're welcome to join.
-
What equipment do I need? Before departure, we provide a detailed list of recommended equipment. Typically, we suggest a digital camera with lenses ranging from 24 to 200 mm, extra memory cards, spare batteries, and a tripod. Depending on the tour, you may also need filters and a laptop or tablet with editing software. Specific equipment requirements will be shared based on the tour you choose.
-
What types of accommodation do you offer? We aim to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Typically, we book 3- to 4-star hotels that provide a good balance of comfort and convenience. In more remote areas where prime photo opportunities exist, accommodations might be simpler, but we always strive to offer the highest quality available.
-
Are meals included in the tours? Most of our tours include breakfast, and some may offer additional meals depending on the destination. You’ll find detailed information about meal inclusions in the specific tour description.
-
What is the balance between photography and relaxation? This balance varies depending on the destination and tour. Some tours are more photography-focused with active itineraries, while others offer a slower pace with opportunities for relaxation and exploration. We’d be happy to recommend the best tour for your preferences.
-
How do I book a photography tour? You can book a tour by clicking the "Request Photography Tour" button on the respective tour page. We will quickly confirm if there is an available spot on the requested tour.
-
How quickly do your tours sell out?Our Photography Tours often sell out up to twelve months in advance. We recommend booking as soon as you’ve decided on a tour to secure your spot and take advantage of early flight deals, as travel costs are typically not included in the tour price.
-
When is the final payment due?Final payments are usually due 60 days before the tour begins. For bookings made within 60 days of the tour’s start date, full payment is required at the time of booking.
